Mazda MX5-GT spotted at Goodwood

The Mazda MX5-GT car built by Team Jota/Mazda UK was part of the impressive Mazda stand at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.  Sizzling weather brought out the crowds to this ever popular summer event.

The spectators were able to get close to the GT racer which drivers Mark Ticehurst and Owen Mildenhall race in the British Dunlop Production GTN Championship, using a Minister-Power Ford Duratec engine, producing 275 BHP.

The stand also depicted the 1991 Le Mans winning car.

Hot Pace set at Rockingham Speedway

The Gibson success story continued at Rockingham Speedway in the 2 BARC Clubman Classes.

Paul Gibson made Pole position in the Proto Class, by over 3.7 seconds with his Nemesis K11, whilst Daniel Gibson was second overall and Pole in the BARC Clubmans Cup in his Nemesis K10.  For the Saturday race Paul set the pace and was leading comfortably when he had to retire 2 laps from the end.

In the Sunday qualifying Daniel lined up 4th in class and finished 3rd overall, 1st in class and with the fastest lap.

Brooke flows better after trip to Minister-Power

Whilst the owners of this eye catching two seater took the advantage of visiting the Goodwood Festival of Speed they dropped their car into our workshops for some exhaust and air box improvements. 

Trackday noise limitations are becoming ever more stringent both here and abroad, so in order to reduce the noise level we modified and fitted a carbon fibre air intake and specially made an additional silencer which can easily be changed  back to the original exhaust system for road use.

The Brooke is powered by a Cosworth Duratec engine, which Minister-Power have vast experience of.

Tony Bennett makes it  a double win at Oulton Park. 

Following his dominant performance at Oulton Park at the begining of the month, Tony made it an even more emphatic win in the latest round of the  Sports v Saloons Car Challenge with Jec Powered by Jaguar Series. He took his Minister-Power Caterham to a 2.09.848 win after only 20 minutes of racing, from Pole position and fastest race lap along the way The DPR prepared car with the Duratec engine also was in line for at least a second place position a earlier in the month at Spa, but a moment at Eau Rouge in the wet demoted him to fourth place......out of fifty three starters.

Another Podium For the Mazda MX5-GT
using Minister-Power

Congratulations to Mazda Motors UK & Team Jota on yet another podium place for the incredible MX5- GT in the British Dunlop Production GTN Championship Race at Donington Park.

After achieving the first podium at Rockingham Speedway, in only its second ever event, the success story continued at Donington Park.

Drivers, Mark Ticehurst and Owen Mildenhall, completed the 3 hour race and reported that the engine had been "totally reliable" and "just kept pulling" them to third place.

The Mazda MX5 GT car is powered by one of the latest Minister-Power tuned engine's.

Next race 11th and 12th June at Thruxton circuit.

Whilst at Silverstone..........

Paul Gibson driving the Nemesis K11 Proto was setting the pace in the BARC Clubmans Cup.  With 1 Pole, 2 Fastest Laps and a Race Win by almost 40 Seconds. Paul was using the latest Minister-Power tuned K Series engine. It was a "Fantastic" weekend.

Paul Caller, driving his Caterham CSR  using a Minister-Power 270 conversion, achieved his first podium this year in the CSCC Gold Arts Magnificent Sevens Race. Awesome!
With Grahame Tilley and Andy Toone getting Fastest Laps in their respective classes.
